His many years of experience combined with his impressive data-mining capabilities have given him a unique and valuable perspective on genealogical research. He has given many popular and very well received presentations to the Oklahoma Genealogical
Society, Garfield County Genealogists, Cleveland County Genealogical Society, Payne County Genealogical Society, Payne County Historical Society, Logan County Genealogical Society, and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Mahlon was also formerly a speaker for Heritage Quest Publications. He now offers presentations ranging from single topic talks all the way up to fully custom weekend seminars. Meetings start at 6:00 PM in the Chesapeake Room of the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive, Oklahoma City (across from the State Capitol). Monthly programs are free for all members of the OGS. Non-members are welcome, but are charged $5 at the door.
